Horsham Lions Club is part of the worldwide oraganisation, Lions Clubs InternationalClub Profile

Horsham Lions Club is part of the worldwide organisation of Lions Clubs International which is network of 1.3 million men and women across more than 200 countries. Lions are men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in their local communities.

Membership is open to adult men and women who are interested in helping others while enjoying a wide ranging social programme and fellowship with like minded people.

Club meetings are held twice per calendar month. A social meeting is held on the 2nd Monday of the month with a businessmeeting held on 4th Monday of the month.


Meetings held monthlyMeetings

Social meetings under normal circumstances are held monthly at various restaurants and pubs in the Horsham area. However under current Government rules for managing the Covid-19 pandemic these meetings have been suspended for the time being.

Business meetings under normal circumstances are held monthly at a venue in the Horsham area starting at 8pm. However under current Government rules for managing the Covid-19 pandemic these meetings have been moved online for the time being.

All aspects of the Club are discussed including fund raising activities, charitable donations, social events, membership and any other matters that members wish to bring to the Club's attention. Online, the meeting lasts for about 90 minutes.

Committee meetings for major events are held as required.

Club officers are elected annually and serve for 1 year commencing on 1st July. The leader is the President who is the chair at all Club meetings and represents the Club at other meetings of the Lions Clubs International organisation.

Lions Clubs International is the largest service organisation in the world. The British Isles and Ireland are "Multiple District 105" and our Club is part of the sub-divided "District 105SE". In turn each District comprises of a number of regions and each region is made up of "Zones". Within "Region 1" our Club shares "Zone 1A" with the Lions Clubs of Billingshurst & District, Burgess Hill District, Crawley, Haywards Heath and Henfield & District.
